We’ve stayed at Casa De La Risa three times now and each visit has been wonderful. Hosts Lynda and Gavin are lovely folks and easy to work with regarding bookings, etc. And property managers Sheila and Gary were great attending to our needs during our stay. The villa is well equipped for our accessibility requirements with the pool lift and shower chair and level terrace. The high-speed fibre WiFi was a nice bonus so that we could still take meetings on Zoom and catch up on Canadian news. Javea is a wonderful town and we spent many days on the Arenal beach. The lifeguards even offered to carry Rita down to the water for a better view of the sea! We often visited surrounding towns such as Moraira to explore the beach and shops there. There are many restaurants nearby to satisfy all tastes. We went to Everest Spice many times but also check out El Campo. We also enjoyed cooking for ourselves enjoying quiet meals on the naya. There are many shops nearby for groceries and wine. We’re counting the days until we can return!

We keep coming back for more! Villa ideally located for amenities and quiet enough to relax. Having stayed here several times, the replacement of the pool hoist has made transferring easier and a more dignified affair. Villa is well equipped for self catering. Security system and broadband worked faultlessly, added bonus is air conditioning in the bedrooms. Sheila (manager) extremely helpful if you have any issues. Look forward to staying here again. We have returned recently from our third stay at this lovely villa. It’s home from home that enjoys a lovely quiet, location with the added bonus of the bustling resort of Javea just a short drive away. The villa is spotless, it’s spacious and well equipped, the en-suite bedroom has a large wet room, designed with wheelchair users in mind, each bedroom is air-conditioned and the pool is perfect! The pool chair is amazing, making entering and exiting the pool so easy. As a full time wheelchair user, I find staying here takes away the worry of going abroad. The villa is easy to access, roomy and with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Javea is a pretty resort, lots of it is flat and there are many bars and restaurants that are accessible, nearby Denia is also perfect for wheelchair users as well as good old Benidorm around 45 mins away. I also recommend Valencia, slightly further away but a lovely day out. Overall, we can’t recommend Casa de la Risa enough and will be back!

We have stayed at Casa de la Risa twice, firstly in 2019 and we have just returned from our long awaited second visit. This is such a lovely villa, it is clean and well maintained, in a beautiful, slightly elevated position, with views of the mountain along with beautiful sunsets. The villa has everything you need and the pool is stunning. It is also ideal for my husband who is a paraplegic. The villa is level throughout with extra wide doorways, the bathroom is enormous with appropriate aids etc and it also has a pool chair. Javea is a 10 minute drive away. It has a fabulous promenade with lots of accessible shops and restaurants as well as ample disabled parking bays. We have already booked for next year.
